ABOUT US
St. Anselm's was founded in 1904 by Capuchian Fathers. It is now run by ROMAN CATHOLIC DICOSEAN SOCIETY of AJMER. It prepares boys of all communities for the All-India Secondary and Senior School Certificate Examinations of the CBSE, New Delhi. The following subjects are taught: English, Hindi, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Geography, Economics, Political Science, Business Studies, Accountancy and Computer Science.
The aim of the school is to give boys a sound intellectual, physical and moral education, so that they turn out to be good and upright citizen for time and eternity. Reports of conduct, application and progress in studies are issued at the end of each examination and are sent to parents or guardians.
The Scholastic Year is from July to June.
The study of Hindi is compulsory in all classes.
Drill and Outdoor Games are compulsory and school has Scout Troops, Wolf Cub Packs and Air Wing of NCC (National Cadet Corps) to facilitate them.
The various Literary Societies organize Debates, Speeches, Quiz, Dance and Musical (Vocal and Instrumental) Competitions and provide a showcase for the various talents a student may have.
Science and Literary academics encourage a detailed study of these subjects.
Admission
As a rule boys who are 3 years old will be admitted to the Kindergarten class. A corresponding age is fixed for the succeeding classes.
A boy who joins fresh from home or from private school has to produce Official Birth Certificate such as the Municipal or Baptism Certificate in support of the date of birth entered in the Admission Form.
A boy who has attended any recognized school will not be admitted without a Leaving Certificate from the same.
Documents required for admission are not returned.

St Mary’s Convent Sr. Sec. School, Ajmer, the first missionary institution of Rajasthan started on 3rd Feb. 1896 with 57 students and four boarders. From a humble beginning the school now has a staggering no. of nearly 3000 students on its rolls. This school is 111 yrs old now.
Its pioneers were from France. They had to face many difficulties since the climate, language, customs etc. were alien to them. Many sisters died at a very early age due to illness and lack of means to care for themselves; even basic amenities were denied to them as they led simple austere lives. God accepted their sacrifices and blessed them in their endeavors. They worked ceaselessly for the education of the young and the upliftment of women.
Till 1956, St. Mary’s prepared the students for Senior Cambridge Examinations. Later, it changed to Rajasthan Board. Till 1997 it was affiliated to the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education and has proved to be one of the best schools with excellent, outstanding results.
